"Afternoon at Chico's"

Afternoon at Chico's came about one afternoon while I was visiting my friend, Chico, actually Mark Miller, who is now my husband. As I walked into his sunroom I saw this painting--yellow Gerber daisies, which I love, chile peppers, another love, and the antique bread advertising sign with the Lone Ranger riding toward us right there on the wall. The light was streaming into the window illuminating this scene and I almost had to run home to paint it. This is a pretty good example of what Arizona looks like, and it is also a pretty good example of a contemporary photorealistic watercolor painting.

Although the original has been sold it is available as a special edition print. Matted on acid free 12x14" matt board and shrink wrapped on foam core it is available for $25.00.
